School Librarian participation Grant

We are excited to offer a grant to one dedicated school librarian to attend the IFLA WLIC 2025!

This is a unique opportunity to bring the valuable perspective of school librarians to a global stage, while helping to enrich the conversation and strengthen the connection between different library sectors.

The grant will cover the full registration fee.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the IFLA WLIC 2025 School Librarian Grant, the applicant must:

  • Be employed as a school librarian.
  • Be a member of their national library association, or school library association where applicable.
  • Have a reasonable level of English language knowledge due to their expected participation in a grantee programme during WLIC.

Priority will be given to applicants who are first-time attendees of the IFLA World Library and Information Congress.

How to apply?

To apply, please complete the application form below and upload a single PDF file that includes the following:

  1. Curriculum vitae (one page): Provide a brief overview of your educational background, professional experience, and any relevant achievements or contributions to the library field.

  2. Proof of association membership: Submit documentation confirming your membership in your national or school library association, if applicable.

  3. Statement or letter from your employer supporting your attendance at WLIC.

Tell us why attending WLIC 2025 excites you and how this experience will shape your growth as a school librarian. You may wish to describe:

  • How do you see your participation inspiring new initiatives or empowering your school community?
  • What ideas or knowledge do you hope to bring back to spark positive change and support the next generation of school librarians? Reflect on your vision for the future of school libraries, and how attending WLIC 2025 will help turn that vision into reality.

 

Please do not use AI to generate your motivation letter. We want to hear your story.
