The library of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana is an essential part of the educational infrastructure of the institution, playing a key role in the educational process and student development. Every year, the library organizes various projects aimed at strengthening the connection between the school community, parents, the library, and students. Some of these initiatives include 100 Books, Bookcrossing, Book Start, NIS Let’s Read Together and others. These initiatives do not only attract students to reading but also engage parents in the educational and cultural development of their children, strengthening the interaction between home and school.
Additionally, the library actively collaborates with methodological associations by organizing integrated lessons that use and promote reading methods among students. This approach helps to effectively integrate books and literature into the educational process and develops love for reading through various educational practices.
To promote reading, regular meetings of reading clubs such as Kitapsüyer Janūya (Book Lovers Family) and BOOK TEA TALK are held monthly. These clubs provide a platform for discussing books, exchanging ideas and recommendations, and helping students develop critical thinking skills, an analytical approach to reading, and public speaking abilities.
