We’re excited to announce two keynote speakers have been confirmed for IFLA WLIC 2025: Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa and Kaïs Hammami.

Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa

Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa

We are honoured to be joined by the United Nations’ Resident Coordinator for Kazakhstan, Ms Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa. In her job, Ms Radnaaragchaa oversees the UN’s overall engagement in Kazakhstan, as well as coordinating the efforts of different UN agencies represented there.

In the UN’s 80th year, and with five years left to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda, there is a renewed focus on how both to realise the potential of multilateralism, as well as to mobilise all relevant actors at national and local levels. Libraries are already powerful contributors to goals around research and education, but what more is possible?

Come along to find out about how, from the UN perspective, libraries can fully realise their potential, as well as to understand more about how the sustainable development agenda is playing out in Kazakhstan.

Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa’s keynote session takes place on Thursday, 21 August from 10:45 – 11:45. Her presentation is titled Making development sustainable in Kazakhstan: the UN Perspective.
